The flowers were so popular that in 1953 it was decided to organize a yearly tulip spring festival in Ottawa-Gatineau. Moreover, nowadays it’s one of the largest tulip spring festivals in the world!

The Annapolis Valley is located close to Nova Scotia Bay of Fundy. The first Apple Blossom Festival was held in 1933 and its main goal was to promote the apple industry and show scenic beauty of the area as well as celebrate the end of the winter.

Nowadays this spring festival is a visit card of the Nova Scotia region and it marks the beginning of the tourism season.

Visitors have the opportunity to participate in many activities during the festival. It includes hikes, barbeques, different concerts, craft fairs and much other stuff.
