Chicago

Chicago is one of my favourite cities in the US. Not only known for its bold architecture and charming waterfront, it is also a foodie city. Check out these new “centric-concept” cafes if you visit Chicago.

Nutella Café
The Ferraro brand opened the world’s first Nutella Café on the bustling Michigan Avenue. Imagine yourself going through a door in the shape of a Nutella jar to find seating areas underneath panels resembling waves of chocolate! A bright yellow lighting fixtures is in the shape of hazelnut flowers. The menu goes beyond the sweets with the savoury options like sandwiches and salads to embrace the all-day cafe concept. There also a coffee bar that offers Nutella drizzle as a topping for its cappuccinos and lattes. Looking for sweet bakery with Nutella? Try grilled baguette or seasonal fruit crostata. Nutella gelato is also a must-try!

XO Marshmallow Café
Everything inside Chicago’s first marshmallow-centric café is Insta-worthy from the interior to the food. The pastel interiors add a wonderland feel to it. The café is a half-espresso, half-marshmallow spot. The menu includes many marshmallow-based treats baked fresh, like marshmallow pops and toasted marshmallow lattes. The menu also features favorites such as s’mores and whoopie pies. Unique creations like taco s’mores, marshmallow cones and unicorn hot chocolate are also available! Fans can grab packaged specialty flavours of gluten-free marshmallows like Kahlua, strawberry and Nutella as a gift as well!

Cannoli Bar
Cannoli is an Italian tubular pastry filled with ricotta cheese and filled with nuts or chocolate. At Eataly, each Cannoli is prepared fresh in front of you! The chef fills crunchy cannoli shells with freshly-whipped sweet ricotta, infused with traditional flavors, including candied orange, pistachio, and tiramisù. Chef collaborations feature a variety of fillings such as mint chocolate chip cookie dough and chocolate and honey with sesame seeds! The full menu includes pairing options, like your choice of toppings and Italian wines. Holy Cannoli!
