One-of-a-kind Roofed Camping Accommodations in Canada’s National Park

Camping is not just about tents! These unique roofed camping accommodations are ideal for less stressful vacays whether it’s rain or shine. The price is very reasonable, ranging from $75 to $128 depending on the time of the year and location! Reservations can be made online or by contacting the location directly.

Ôasis

These pods are shaped like water droplets that can accommodate two adults and up to two children. Each unit comes with a convertible table/bed with mattress on the main level and suspended hammock loft above. A hammock loft combined weight is about 160 kg. Standard amenities include suspended hammock loft with wooden ladder, battery powered lamp, and parking 1 or 2 vehicles. There is also a broom, dustpan, fire extinguisher and even a smoke detector. A picnic table and outdoor firebox are available just outside the pod. Washrooms and showers are nearby. Ôasis locations are found in Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, and Ontario. Pets are not allowed in the Ôasis.

Yurt


Yurt is a circular shaped tent-like structure mounted on a wooden deck floor. It is a modernized version of a traditional circular dwelling, perfect front-country retreat for a couple or a small family! Yurts are much stronger and offer better shelter from the weather compared to tents. Standard amenities include 3 mattresses that sleep 4 to 5 people, heating, lighting, rustic furniture including table and chairs and a parking spot. A picnic table and outdoor firebox are available outside the Yurt. Washrooms and showers are nearby. Yurt locations are Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. The yurt is pet-friendly!

oTENTik

oTENTik is a spacious blend of tent and A-frame cabin equipped with beds and furniture on a raised floor. It provides comfort and convenience for families and friends of all ages to discover the joys of camping. Standard amenities include 3 to 5 mattresses single/double which sleeps 5 to 6 people, indoor table and bench chairs, lighting, and parking for 1 or 2 vehicles. There is also a broom, dustpan, and fire extinguisher. A picnic table, outdoor firebox and desk chairs are available outside the oTENTik. Washrooms and showers are nearby. There are more than 400 oTENTik units at 30 locations across Canada, including Ontario! Some oTENTiks are pet friendly.

MicrOcube

This is one of Parks Canada’s newest glamping offerings in 2017. The compact, modern 107 sqft units with a panoramic window can fit two adults. It is similar to a tiny home, but without a kitchen or bathroom. Standard amenities include a double bed, table and chairs, lighting, no heating, and parking for 1 or 2 vehicles. Deck, picnic table, Barbecue and fire pit are available just outside the unit. Washrooms and showers are nearby. MicrOcube locations are in British Columbia, Manitoba, and Quebec.
