4 US Music Festivals that you need to Attend this Summer

June 12, 2016

Amazing music festivals are happening from coast to coast this summer in the US. We bring you some of the best festivals, so you can start planning a road trip ASAP

Chicago Open Air Festival (July 15-17, Bridgeview, IL)

This festival is amazing because it not only provides a stellar lineup of music acts, but combines this with amazing provisions of craft beer and gourmet “man” food. This year, among the 60 music acts are the famous German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein along with amazing American alternative rock bands like Of Mice and Men and The Devil Wear Prada. This festival will also feature a gourmet “man” food village which will serve varieties of craft beer from some of Chicago’s top breweries.

Highberry Music Festival (June 30 – July 4, Ozark, Arkansas)

Taking place at the beautiful Mulberry Mountain in Ozark, Arkansas, the Highberry Music festival will feature an amazing and massive lineup of artists that play more alternative, lesser known songs. Some of the features this year will be the country group Yonder Mountain String Band and the alternative rock group Wookiefoot. If you’re looking for a scenic vacation this summer (perhaps on a road trip) then we seriously recommend this festival as it will feature amazing local music and will give you the chance to experience the beauty of Mulberry Mountain (one of the most scenic places in Arkansas).

Sundown Music Festival (Setember 17 – 18, Huntington Beach, California

If you want to enjoy some California fun in the sun paired with amazing live music, we seriously suggest attending the Sundown Music festival happening in Huntington Beach, California. Last year, this festival featured the famous Colombian-American DJ Erick Morillo and the Australian DJ Ruby Rose (as seen on Orange is the New Black), so we can only imagine what this year’s lineup will be like. If you want to party in pools and on beaches in front of an electric stage, this festival is not to be missed!

What the Festival (June 17 – 20, Dufur, Oregon, US)

If you’re looking for something a little off the beaten track, then we suggest What the Festival happening in Dufur at the end of June (just 90 miles east of Portland). Everything about this festival is off the beaten track. There will be 4 days of art and 8 stages with live electronic music. A lineup of talented, low-key acts usually perform at this festival. This year, acts such as the classic punk band Lettuce and the house and techno producer Claude Vonstroke will perform.
