Summer days are filled with outdoor festivals, that you need to make the most of it. You need to unplug from the busy life, get out and enjoy the taste of the outdoor festivals. Street Festivals are the perfect excuses to explore your city, celebrate culture, and support local vendors. Each city and neighborhood has different and unique events to offer, to slow down from the fast paced and enjoy little fun, food, live music, and entertainment for the whole family. We came up with a list of must attend festivals, that would make you feel like you are on vacation.

Here is the list of top places to visit in Canada this summer 

Night It Up! Market| July 14 – 16th | Markham Civic Center
The 16th annual outdoor festival is going attract more than 130,000 visitors across the GTA. The festivals showcasing a mosaic of delicious Asian street foods complemented by live performances by local talents. This annual market is modeled after night markets that place in Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc and aims to give a glimpse of Asian street food and culture. 

 

Festival of India | July 15 – 16 | Sherbourne Common
The 45th annual festival of India is bringing a splash of spiritual culture to Toronto. The festival will begin with a euphoric parade on Yonge Street and will shift to the Sherbourne Common. This family friendly vibrant festival is filled with tradition and heritage including music, dance, drama performances. You can also enjoy vegetarian foods, outdoor yoga, etc.

Rosé Picnic| July 22 | Garrison Common, Fort York
This 19+ event celebrate all shades of pink drink along with summer beverages in the beautiful Forth York. This festival brings more south of France feeling to Toronto. The festival is filled with food, drink, Djs, live music, and entertainments. Just sit back sip on your pink drink and enjoy summer.

 Toronto Caribbean Carnival| August 3-7 |
This full weekend of festivities happens across the city. The 50 years of celebrating fun filled cultural explosion of music, dance, costume and food is back in Toronto.  The grand parade is on August 5th at Exhibition Place along lakeside Blvd. thousands of colorful costumes with all the best moves will lead the parade. Hundreds of vendor will attend this year, and bring the most famous colorful food to the festival.

Ossfest |July 22 | Ossington Ave between Queen and Dundas West
2nd annual family and pet friendly festival is a great opportunity to experience the urban eateries and neighborhood talents. The festival kicks off with urban bike race then features live music, workshops, basketball training, kids zone.

Krinos Taste of the Danforth | August 11 – 13 | Danforth
A Celebration of Taste & Culture coming to Toronto for the 23rd year. The Krinos Taste of the Danforth is Canada’s largest street Festival, welcoming approximately 1.65 million attendees annually. This family friendly festival features more dozens of free activities, and Food, Food, and more Food. Summer is not complete without a Taste of the Danforth festival.
