Bangkok’s Best Riverside Shopping

Bangkok is a city known to be a great shopping destination and its various markets are world-famed. These markets are located by the Chao Praya River and are accessible by water. Avoid the infamous Bangkok traffic by hopping on a boat!

Asiatique

Formerly known as an area of docks and warehouses, this project was cleverly transformed in to retail/entertainment complex. Asiatique is a large open-air night market open daily from 17:00 to 24:00. It features over 1,500 shops and stalls and 40 restaurants. The 300-meter-long boardwalk that lines the adjacent Chao Praya river is a cool feature. This boardwalk is connected to various facilities such as a Ferris wheel, go-kart track, pubs and even a Muay Thai live boxing arena!

Yodpiman River Walk

Attached to the famous 24-hour flower market, Pak Long Talad, Yodpiman River Walk is a heritage theme inspired Riverside Community mall. The building of Yodpiman Riverwalk is of Colonial style architecture, of which its interior decorations, are inspired by diverse eras of capital cities in Thai history. Whether its souvenir shopping, indulging in restaurants and snack stalls, or relaxing at a large beer garden with live night time entertainment, Yodpiman has it all!

Tha Maharaj

Located in one of Bangkok’s historic neighbourhoods, this mall is surrounded by some of the major tourist attractions in the city. It is about 10 minutes away by foot from the Grand Palace. Tha Maharaj project was restored from traditional shop houses and transformed into a meeting hub for over 60 restaurants, cafés, retail shops, antique shops, a riverside promenade and a community garden. For locals, it is known to be one of the biggest amulet markets in Thailand.
