If you still believe that the only thing to do in Las Vegas is gamble than you have been living under a rock. Here are incredibly fun (we promise) and very inexpensive things to do.
The Hotels Tour
Las Vegas is most famous for its themed hotels, neither like the other and all massive. If you walk along the strip (we suggest starting from Caesar’s Palace and heading south), you will find hotels such as the Venetian, which has an underground mall and a river with a Gondola, and the Luxor Hotel which is shaped as an Egyptian Pyramid and is entirely decorated like Ancient Egypt. If you want a hotel that has cheap things to do, visit New York-New York Hotel and Casino where you will find endless food and activities that will make you feel like you are in Manhattan (cheap New York style food galore!)
Visit Old Vegas (Fremont Street)
The second most famous street in Vegas besides the strip, Freemont Street is probably the most fun (and most cost-friendly) area in the city. This covered street is the original Las Vegas strip. Cheap activities such as zip lining can be done here, and there is no other place in the city with as much cheap food and drink (come hungry). Other things to do here include free slot spins (where you can find them), free light shows and the city’s first movie theatre!

Silverton Hotel Aquariam
The FREE aquarium inside the Silverton Hotel features exotic fish by the thousands for your viewing pleasure including catfish and carp. Also featured here are ducks, turtles and bluegills. This place is famous for their mermaids that swim in the waters and interact with guests. If you’re travelling to Vegas with your family, this hotel is budget-friendly and is great for kids!
Catch a Free Show
Vegas has a lot of free shows rather than just pricey ones. At the hotel Circus Circus, guests can see a free show every half hour consisting of circus stunts. At Caesar’s Palace, catch the famous “Fall of Atlantis” show that is held at one of their many gorgeous, extravagant fountains. At this show, animatronic gods fight for Atlantis, and this is considered by many to be the best free show in Vegas. Not your style? You can also check out shows that offer cheaper prices than the others (you can get some for under $20)

Visit a Luxurious Pool on the Down Low
Vegas is famous for its over the top amenities, especially its extravagant pool areas located inside luxurious hotels. As tourists pass through these hotels to shop, eat and simply just tour, pools at these hotels are rarely policed and can easily be visited by non-hotel stayers. Perhaps try your luck visiting one of these luxurious pools during your stay, even if you are not staying at one of these five star hotels.
Take a Bus Tour to the Hoover Dam
Taking a trip to the Hoover Dam is one of the most popular activities to do while in Vegas (no wonder, as it is one of the best sites in the world to see) and does not have to cost and arm and a leg to do. While staying in Vegas, book a bus tour that will take you to the Hoover Dam (these trips typically take most of the day, so prepare for the dry heat). Tours can cost as low as $68, which is leaps and bounds cheaper than most other things to do in Vegas.
