There are so many ways to feel the love at NYC this weekend, there so many street festivals taking over the street. Whether you are looking for talks, film screening, drag shows or gay bars, and gay clubs, this city never disappoints you. Pride Island | Tribeca | June 23 -24 -25| Hudson river Park
Price Island introducing the next evolution of dance and music for this cultural LGBT event. Formerly knwn as “Dance on the Pier”, this events is the highlight of the Pride week. This three-day cultural events is the newest additional events to the park list, and it is a central hub for the LGBT community. The lineup of this year is impressive, It features some great performances by known pop stars such as Patti LaBelle, Tegan and Sara, and Nelly Furtado. This is a can’t-miss event in NYC Pride weekend.
The March | Various | June 25 | 36th Street and Fifth Avenue to Christopher and Greenwich Streets
The biggest annual Pride Celebration in the world will be held this weekend in NYC. Since the first march in 1970, New York City has been honoring its gay citizens ever since. This year’s theme is “We are Proud”, the LGBT community’s unwavering ability to rise and be proud.
Family Pride Picnic | June 24 | Church of St. Luke in the Fields playground, 487 Hudson St
Absolutely any family under the rainbow is welcome to this event. This annual family friendly picnic hosts by the Center Greenwich Village. This event celebrates the vibrant fabric of the city focuses on kids ages 8 and under via games, music, classic stalls, puppet shows, and face painting. This is a free event.
Queer | Art | Pride | June 23 – 24 | Wythe Hotel
This two – day event hosts by wythe Hotel and featuring short and features films by alumni of the Queer| Art | Mentorship program. This event is now entering its seventh year and offers mentorship and guidance to LGBT creatives.
