Catch a Broadway Show
London is overshadowed by New York City’s Broadway, but it has one of the busiest theater scenes on the planet. Every night, classic shows are playing (The Lion King, Mamma Mia!) as well as lesser known, alternative plays (The Play that Goes Wrong) at any of the theaters scattered throughout the downtown core.
Tip: Most hotels and hostels have access to discounted tickets. Alternatively, many vendors around the city sell discounted tickets (be wary of illegitimate ones, though).
Live it up in Soho
This borough stands out as one of London’s most eccentric and exciting. The Soho borough is home to edgy shops and amazing cafés. Live jazz music is popular here and the borough is home to London’s gay village, so there is something to do day and night in this fun and exciting area. Spend the day browsing vintage clothing in Kingly Court, then head to Jazz After Dark for dinner and a live show (we promise you won’t be disappointed).

St Paul’s Cathedral
One of the largest cathedrals in the United Kingdom, St. Paul sits on the highest point in London and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city. The massive baroque style dome is one of the largest in the world. As the building is a working cathedral, visitors are welcome to explore the inside at mostly anytime.
The Hackney Borough
Hackney has become known as one of London’s most interesting areas. Check out the Geffrye Museum if you’re into decorative arts and later head to the infamous Vortex Jazz Club for some live entertainment (which London is famous for). Love shopping? A Burberry outlet is located here that sells Burberry products for as low as a third of the original prices!

Oxford Street Shopping
If you came to Europe to shop, you cannot miss Oxford Street. The largest shopping street on the continent, the area is filled with shops for all tastes and budgets. Countless flagship stores for almost all of the major brands can be found here. When you need to recharge, head to the department store Debenhams and have afternoon tea and scones at the massive Patisserie Valerie located on the bottom floor.
Tower of London
The Tower of London completes any trip to the city. Built almost one thousand years ago, this castle has been used as a prison, a treasury, an armory and today house the crown jewels for the Queen (which you can view while you’re there). Don’t miss the White Tower, built as a symbol of ancient Britain to deter invaders (you can visit all four floors of the tower).
Tip: If you book a tour, make sure it’s a “skip the line” tour so that you can save time by not waiting in line.
